Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Malé and Transfer to Local Island

Upon arrival at Malé International Airport, you will be greeted by our team and assisted with your transfer to a local island in the Maldives. Check-in to your guest house and take some time to relax and explore the surroundings. Enjoy a welcome dinner at the guest house’s dining area in the evening.We’ll meet at 4 p.m. at our hotel in Luzern (Lucerne) for a “Welcome to Switzerland” meeting. Then we’ll take a meandering evening walk through Switzerland’s most charming lakeside town, and get acquainted with one another over dinner together. Sleep in Luzern (2 nights). No bus. Walking: light.

Day 2: Introduction to Traditional Fishing Techniques

Start your day with an introduction to traditional Maldivian fishing techniques. Participate in a guided fishing trip, learning the basics of pole and line fishing. Experience the thrill of catching fish using age-old methods. Return to the guest house for a delicious dinner prepared with the day’s catch.

Day 3: Full-Day Fishing Excursion

Embark on a full-day fishing excursion led by local experts. Try your hand at handline fishing and other traditional methods. Enjoy the serene beauty of the Maldivian waters as you fish for a variety of species. In the evening, return to the guest house and savor a meal made from your fresh catch.

Day 4: Cultural Exploration and Snorkeling

Spend the morning exploring the local island, visiting markets and artisans to experience the traditional Maldivian way of life. In the afternoon, go on a snorkeling adventure to discover the vibrant coral reefs and marine life. Return to the guest house for a relaxing evening and dinner.

Day 5: Leisure Day and Beach BBQ

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast, prepare for your departure. Take a final stroll on the beach or enjoy the guest house’s amenities before checking out. Our team will assist with your transfer back to Malé International Airport for your flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Maldivian fishing adventure.
